Fishers of Men by Phil Barber

Quick Overview

 by Phil Barber

Every church has a history but not every church has a future.

The Potter's House was planted in 1992 and has grown every year since it began. Founding pastor Phil Barber explains their journey with conviction, humour and honesty, giving insight into their many trials and triumphs. Tackling common issues including church planting, empowering others and succession leadership, Fishers of Men will encourage and inspire you to grow the Kingdom of God wherever you are.

"If you are tempted to think that God has given up on his church, or if you simply want to be inspired by a story for ordinary people in an ordinary place being filled with the extraordinary power of the Spirit of God to grow a remarkable church, then read this book." — Chick Yuill (Church Life Consultant, Author and Speaker)

"The UK needs positive models of successful church planting with relevant approaches to communicating the Gospel, powerful worship and empowering visionary leadership. The Potter's House is one such church. Phil Barber is an outstanding leader." — Lloyd Cooke (Chief Executive, Saltbox Christian Centre)

Phil Barber is the founding Pastor of The Potter's House, Stoke-on-Trent, England. He has been married to Suzy for over 30 years and has two grown children, Hannah and Tom.
